BLOGGING! WHY DO WE DO THAT?

Rather than go out and haul the recyclables back in ( must be the wrong week as they pick it up every other) I decided to write a post. I got up this morning and as is my habit, I checked in on the computer to see if anyone had written me. Julie did but all other was either delete material or spam. I didn't get downstairs to eat my breakfast until one o'clock.

Which speaks to what I wanted to say today. I decided to spend some time reading and commenting on other blogs. I always get bogged down doing this as I find such fascinating blogs out there.

There are artists with fantastic paintings on display, people who have found really wonderful poets and quote some of their poetry, and people who live in other countries who show how and where they live. Hey, there is a whole world out there and one could spend all one's time on the computer in the blog world!

Not to mention all the other avenues there are. I have been following the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Art Museum in Chicago and the one in London and in the Netherlands for a long time. But I love to hear from those who live close to the animals on the farm with pictures of their young and the beauty of them as well. And how the meadow looked in the mist. And read about people's feelings and thoughts.

Just wanted to tell everyone how much blogging means to me.

Those cows are beautiful. Talk about art. There it is.

I, too, enjoy the blogging world. So many fascinating people in this world. So much to learn.

Breakfast at 1 o'clock!!Bernie you must have been fascinated!Isn't retirement great! No-one tells us we can't,shouldn't etc.
So pleased you like blogging so much. It's such a useful way to keep in touch with the world and to find kindred spirits.Did you check out all my babies on http://livethegoodlife.blogspot.com
This morning I had the great privilege to witness a baby pigeon just out of the egg and his sibling just emerging.Magic! No photos it would have been too intrusive.
Good wishes Bernie.

Came by via Julia's blog. Glad I did. I know what you mean about getting bogged down here reading and reading. As much as I enjoy getting comments (and I love them) I enjoy keeping up with so many out there. Sometimes I have to set a time limit, otherwise, I'll be here all day.

You had me with the cow picture, Bernie, because I love cow pictures! Look at those faces!

And yes, you can lose track of time without even being aware that it is passing, and I can't figure that out. You sit down at 9:00, think just an hour has passed, and there it is 1:00. So many talented people, so many fascinating lives, that one can forget to live one's own life!

Isn't that the truth!

I know exactly what you mean and I have woefully little time to do it!! Maybe once I'm past this stage of daily day care for my young grandsons I'll have more computer time. Long gone are the days of just roaming randomly around the blogosphere. I can barely keep up with the ones I enjoy visiting on a regular basis, many of the writers having become good cyber-friends of mine! And I'm even worse about commenting. I try to do that on the weekends

I agree, the blogging world is fascinating. I start out at one place and end up someplace else all together and wonder how I got there!

Thanks for a fun post. :)

I wouldn't know what to do without blogging, either. Thanks so much for stopping by, Bernie, and leaving such a lovely comment. I have been by a few times, just too time-constricted to leave comments. I always enjoy what I read here, tho. Tomorrow morning when I'm eating my bagel and drinking my coffee at 3:15, I'll be thinking about you eating yours at 1 pm! I LOVE that!

I can certainly agree with you that blog reading can be a real time stealer sometimes! But it can be addictive. I've been trying to click on one or two new blogs on other's blog rolls this past week. It's a good way to find a new, fun and interesting blog to read.
