Matilda
Meet my youngest granddaughter, Miranda Sucha a/k/a Matilda by her grandmother. I don't know how that came about exactly but I was talking about her on the phone to my son one day and used the name Matilda and it seems to fit her in my mind. Her folks don't mind and think it is funny.
Today she is two years old. She came two months prematurely so we are doubly glad she is a fine and healthy and beautiful girl. She has older parents (in their 40's) and God knows a rather old grandmother, but she does have a younger grandmother on her mother's side.
Happy Birthday, Matilda. I am so glad you're here.

Aaaaaaaaah, Bernie, what a cutie pie! And how lucky she is that you're still here for her to get to know, and that you get to know and enjoy her! (Well, I guess that could border on rude and insensitive, but I think you know what I mean.)
My husband's niece has a little girl she named JOEY, and I said no, no, no, she should be a ZOEY! Well, of course, they didn't listen to me, and call her Joey, but I still slip up and call her Zoey on occasion. Funny how we get things like that in our head!
What a sweetie, isn't it wonderful how a young child brings so much joy to everyone....so Happy Birthday Matilda.......:-) Hugs
Matilda is certainly beautiful Bernie...I really see a resemblance to you...Other people must notice it...also you both are hoding your heads exactly the same in the photos!
Happy Birthday to your granddaughter Matilda...
What at beautiful baby! I love that you have a special name for her. The two of you do look alike, and the spunk really comes through. :-)
Oh, isn't she cute to see on your blog. How fast that two years has gone.
What a cutie...:)
