Don't Give Up on Me

You haven’t heard from me because I’m having some computer issues. My daughter is posting this for me from her computer. Please don’t forget me until I get mine fixed or get to a computer that works. That may not be until next weekend.

My son, Jim, put up several bird feeders around my yard and cardinals, chickadees, red-polls, golden finches, and nut hatchers have visited. What a pleasure also to watch my willow tree leaf out – first of my trees in the spring – last to lose its leaves in the fall. The squirrels have begun their usual romp and tag-playing round and round the willow's big trunk. They've entertained me for the past hour.

Prior to that I watched the Masters golf tournament with Phil Mickelson winning again. I’m happy for him and for his wife and family. He seems like such a neat guy and his wife has been very sick this past year.

I'll catch up as soon as my computer is up and running. In the meantime, don't give up on me.

I love this bird...I think I enjoy them more than Cardinals. They have such an understated beauty.

We will be here when you return.

Don't worry for a second, Bernie about us giving up on you. That will never happen, we like you too much.
I've been busy watching the Cardinals, Bluebirds, and Squirrels myself! Enjoy your week, Bernie.

Happy Easter a week late and since you're watching golf, do you or did you play? My mother played until she was 81 and loved every second of it.

I'll look forward to seeing your birds this summer...our resident hawk and mockingbird have chased all our cardinals, bluebirds, and finches away!

It is so nice to know that you are having such lovely Spring weather and just the thought of all the birds visiting you makes me smile.
I was pleased to see Phil win the Masters today as well and when he hugged Amy I had tears streaming down my cheeks, just so happy for that lovely family.....good things do happen to good people.
Take care my friend, hope your computer is fixed soon and I think you are pretty lucky to have such a great daughter as Julie to pitch hit for you. I have only been able to visit a few friends this week as I haven't been feeling well. Take care my friend......:-) Hugs

My mom loves cardinals. Her mom used to collect cardinal stuff and now she does. I'll be looking forward to future entries from you. I'm trying to catch up on older ones. Take care.

It's a good thing I don't have a baseball bat in my computer room because many times I have been tempted to smash the thing when it doesn't work! Hmmm...anger issues? Well, I'm glad spring has arrived for you in the form of lovely birds and silly squirrels! Give up on you? Nah!

I can hear the birds, but can't see them yet. They are hiding from my dogz.

Enjoy your time! Flex your fingers. When I'm away from my computer I read books, journal and crochet.

You are adored... it won't be long.

You don't have to worry about ever being given up on. Love your writing about birds. I could read about birds all day long, and I'm envious of the ones you have that we don't have here.
